Had a great ride out with Cat and Alan yesterday, we went to the cafe at Quatt, where my bike died and Alan had to bump start it (lucky the drive is on a sharp camber!), then over the Long Mynd and back via some country roads. Think Cat needed her drinks and fags after the descent off the Mynd

Only a few spots of rain so no bus shelters needed!

Hope you all had a great night  Looking forward to another Wales rideout today :D (hope my bike starts!).

Well everyone has now left and making their way back to their respective parts of the country. The weather has been kind - albeit a bit chilly. Just started to rain here so I hope people don't get too wet on their journeys.

We've had a great weekend, so thanks to everyone for coming along :D

Eventful journey home Sue. Ended up in Shrewsbury. Don't ask me how O_o

Chucked the missus off the bike AGAIN!!! in Kidderminster. :(

Some moron on the roundabout by MacDonalds changed his mind and didn't want the turning he was indicating to use and swung his wheels to continue on round. I grabbed a handful of brake and went to put my left foot down.

Trouble was it was straight onto a the biggest manhole cover in the world. The ones with the two triangular plates.

My foot slipped, off we tumbled and Karen bashed her ribs on the kerb.

We are now waiting to see if they are bruised or broken. Doc says if the pain eases over the next couple of days they are bruised, but if they are broke it will get a whole lot worse :(

Yes, just seen what you posted on FB - what rotten luck!! :(

Hope Karen is just bruised - can imagine she might be reluctant to get back on the bike in a hurry!! :(

I left Ians at 1330 and got home about 1900! Took the A roads to the M5/M42 junction to avoid the usual crap at Birmingham. Just unloaded the bike and car and finally having a sitdown.

Was a fantastic weekend thanks to Sue and Ian. Brilliant company with the usual entertainment provided by TC, Jorbandit and especially Gary. That T Rex story almost stopped me breathing. Great to meet Spanky and his good lady, the single malt was superb.

I left my spare Blade battery at Gills Ian, so I'm hoping she can dropped it at yours and bring it and the airpump to Winster, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeze?

Anyway a few pix, mainly our rideouts. Brilliant weather and great company.

  • 1 month later...

Does anyone happen to be traveling from the south-east? Meaning London/Berkshire/Surrey etc region?

I'm traveling from Berkshire myself and thought I'd try see who else there might be to do the journey up with!
