Im going to take a ride down from Northampton to Redruth in the next few weeks prob travel through Oxford to Stonehenge (lunch stop) then onto Redruth. Anyone know of a good/cheap campsite? 2 bikes, 2 tents (so far) for 2 nights. Within walking distance of a pub (for food of course).

Seems a bit off season for the camp sites but there are a few reasonable ones near me My thoughts are camp on Hayle towans then use the bluff to get hammered

There ya go, adjusted the rout for you :P

Its a few extra miles but trust me, the road over the moors is worth it!

Dual carriageway or roads like this http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Nor ... 57,,0,5.33 ? Your choice, but if its a nice day, I would chose to go over the moors! If its a crap day though I would take the dual carriageway. If you do go over the moors then look out for wild sheep/lambs/horses/cattle etc, but I have never seen a cop up there (apart from in the towns)

I'll certainly let you know and we can arrange to pop round for tea or you can join us at the pub ;)

Thanks for the route suggestion, I did look at going through dartmoor and now I think we will :D Luckily were flexible on route and can probably take a totally diff route back.
