Guest
Right i bought a 2005 honda XR125L just to get me around. It was a non runner, i charged the battery and cleaned out the carb, the only thing ive got is it only runs with the throttle open...... Ive dismantled the carb again and the idle Jet is blocked..... ive used brake cleaner, carb cleaner, and ive used a thin piece of wire to try and push the blockage through.... has anyone got any ideas of how i can unblock it?? any help will be much appreciated. Tango
Compressed air........or if you can lay your hands on one an ultrasonic cleaning bath...... Or maybe just soak it in petrol or another solvent for a few days and see if that breaks down the stuff blocking the jet.....
Guest
Oh forgot to mention i used the bodyshop next doors air blower....... that did nothing...... and ive only soaked it in carb cleaner for a few hours....... maybe ill try some TnT or something lol. Tango
If a high pressure airline won't shift it you've got trouble. Try soaking in Carb cleaner for a couple of days and try the airline again.....
