De-catting my Midnight Star

Well I've tolerated this 6kg lump of steel and catalytic converter for long enough.

Today I removed it and tried a straight through pipe for a laugh and to check 2 into 1 outlet dimension.

Here's the outlet complete with lambda sensor;

Need to order 2" perforated tube, silencing material, outer tube and inlet cone, then I can get some more work done.

Oh yes Bob. That tube is just to make the connection. There will be 18 to 24" of perforated tube, loada packing, an inlet cone with a 3" or 4" outer stainless can with a slashcut outlet.

dont forget alan when you pack it the tighter you pack it the louder it will be

to make it quiet the packing has to be on the loose side

The stuff I buy expands to fill the space specified when I order it. It get's quieter as it gets hotter, up to a point

loud is loud you wont loose your licence just a rectification notice and a fine if your going to get pulled for loud pipes you may as well make em worth it
