stewslash Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 the kit i bought consists of fork stem yoke mountwaterproof case3 prong adaptorhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... rNsB7cYPFMi got the kit to use my phone as a sat nav (iphone5)while the kit is great and does exactly what a bought it for my main reason for the review is to testify how sturdy this piece of kit is a few days back i didnt click the the 3 prong adaptor in properly and pulled away and proceeded to give it the beans, well at about 50mph the phone fell out of the yoke mount and hit my stomach and flew behind me bouncing down the road!boy my phone must of took a beating, but the waterproof case protected it brilliantly not a mark on the phone itself and its all working great even after bouncing down the road at 50mph i just click it back in (properly this time) and all is good even if the case is a little scratched up! mealexme Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Thats good to hear! I have the same mount, but use the ribbon thing it came with to connect it to the bike encase it comes loose. Quote
stewslash Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 ah so that's what the ribbon is for! Quote

Mr Fro Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 That's exactly what happened to me! Bloody thing parted company with the stem wotsit first time out and (luckily) got tangled up in the lanyard so didn't bounce down the road. I didn't realise how hard you have to push the two together...I really like them but a teensy word or warning that the rivets that hold the case to the backing aren't too clever and I've already had one come apart where I take it off and on the stem so I always use a bit of para cord to secure the case to the yolks.Otherwise they're great - I've tested them over 140mph as I use it for telemetry logging on the track. Ian_1986 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Good to hear that these are a worthwhile buy have been debating one for a while. Do you guys leave the yoke part in all the time even when your not using the nav? Quote
Mr Fro Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Yep - I nip it up every month or so just to make sure it's still tight Quote
