Exhaust repair

Sprung a couple of small rust holes in my downpipe - anyone got any ideas to repair temporarily until I can afford the new downpipe?

Thanks guys, I dont have a halfords near me, but Ill try the local parts shop - although I doubt they will stock anything so "sophisticated" haha

Never had a lot of success with Gun-Gum.......but had a plate welded over a large hole in the downpipe on an old TS185 I had.......painted over with black high temp paint......worked a treat and only cost a couple of quid...... :wink:

gun gum, or 'exhaust repair putty', is often avaiilable in local petrol stations or such like?
