Joeman
Ok, im not one to moan, but feel like venting a little!! here looks as good a place as any!!First day back at work today after two week holiday so suffering post holiday blues - spent all day dealing with idiots at work.. (i work with lots of idiots)Discovered the architect i paid a lot of money to for planning got the dimensions wrong and now has to totally re-draw all the plans - what kind of architect cant draw plans??? (another idiot!)Had to spend ages on the phone sorting out a court summons that the incompetent council incorrectly sent me whilst i was on holiday for non-payment of council tax at a property i dont even live at!! (council are all idiots)Got home to discover my partner left my very expensive digital camera out in the rain (she's now on the idiot list too)And to top it all off, discovered my granny has had a stroke (she's old), and a good mate has had a heart attack (hes on the mend)..So all in all not a great day... If tomorrow is anything like today, im going straight down the boozer!!! Anyone else had a bad day today??

klingelton
best place to vent! my sympathies for your bad day.My bad day went something like:work bollocks off at new job as boss is awaytrying to stay on top of work, but some tasks can only be completed by people in the office.workstream manager starts asking when things that can't be completed this week (as boss is away) is going to be completed this week.so now it's me that has to go back to him and explain that i don't yet have the expertise to complete an end to end release as i don't have the permissions, or yet the full know how to do it.:syour day sounds much worse though, I'm off to the pub regardless. min200
My Dad had his third stroke in 6 weeks then they found a clot in his lung and a hole in his heart that had to be repaired straight away so under the knife he went.He was doing fine in recovery but his heart has now decided to play a samba tune which they are trying to get under control. All in all a pretty shitty day! Inithra
So far today, woke up at 2pm, laid in bed until I was forced to get up because I REAALLY needed a shit.Had a coffee and a smoke, then rang the tax office, got through on the first try, told them my tax code was wrong, they fixed it and will issue a refund of the £300ish I paid extra over the last two months. Not a bad day really! Sorry for spoiling the thread!

Selene
took my dog out for a run in the park this morning and was there for an hour or two with zod. just before leaving the park the dog had run over to a stray rotwiler or inleast i thought it was before i seen the collar on it and the next thing i know they are fighting each other. tried braking them off at one point and got bit by the other dog, idiotic zod came along and gave it a good kick to the face with steel toe caps -.- this afternoon clumsy me fell down the stairs! lucky i didn't break anything went down the hospital anyway just to make sure (second visit down there today after being bitten by a rotwiler).mum and i had an argument because i'm still not happy about her getting back with my father after what he done to her in the past (can't say) so, then dearest daddy butted in and kinda kicked me out for giving my mother grief lol...got called a slag off my younger brother because i couldn't pick him up from his friends house (i had already explained to him loads of times why i couldn't).and to top it all off my phone decided to break on me lol so...yeah...my day was awesome... Joeman
second visit down there today after being bitten by a rotwilerDont blame the breed, blame the owners...Rottweilers make fantastic, loyal pets.. the press would have us all think otherwise..Dont believe me, come and meet my rescue rottie - hes the softest gentlest dog you will ever meet.. I've heard that before. The thing is that while your dog might be the softest, gentlest thing round you and your family the dogs natural instinct will be to protect it's pack leader (You). Now dogs are not the cleverest of animals, despite what many owners claim, and what are just innocent body movements by strangers can be misinterpreted by the dog who will attack - and dogs like Rottweilers are powerful enough to maim or kill. No offence to you, but not a breed I would have as a family pet.
Zod
Not to forget that a rottweiler's also have lock jaw don't they? I'd hate to be on the wrong end of their bite despite being bitten by one years ago. But I agree I wouldn't have one for a family pet, a guard dog maybe but no family pet. I'm all for German Shepheards tbh

No offence to you, but not a breed I would have as a family pet. You clearly know nothing about the breed (or dogs in general) and believe everything you read in the press.I grew up with rotties, had my first when I was 9. My mum has two as pets, and I have a large adult male one I rescued that I've had about 2years.I take my rottie out with me to public events, he meets strangers All the time. people stroke him, some children even give him cuddles. Until their parents say, "isn't that cute, what breed is he?" And I say "he's a Rottweiler..." And then you see the look of terror on their faces because of what the press has brain washed them about the breed.Rottweilers are renowned for being excellent loyal pets and excellent with children. They are very intelligent dogs, and Dont just attack unless they have a good reason to, or been raised by bad owners. You're more likely to get bitten by an under socialised Labrador than most rotties. People buy labs because they are seen as family pets, but if they Dont put the effort in to socialise and train them, they are very snappy, unpredictable dogs. Seen it loads..
