hi guys a quick question, how hard (if possible) would it be to fit an engine from a nsr125 alcast jc 20 to an ns 125 rl frame? as my engine isnt currently working and ive got an offer of a fully working engine with carb loom etc for the above bike, what are the thoughts would it be doable without too much hassle and would the exhausts be the same or would it be different?

any help is much appreciated,

Thanks,

Firstly, welcome to the forum, if you plan on sticking around then say hello in the newbies section!

To the matter at hand, ring your Honda dealer or check online. See if the engine was simply lifted and put in the new bike, as if it was you could use the old exhaust on the new engine to help with routing issues :thumb:

You need to look at the old engine and match the engine mounts to the new one. If they are spaced the same, and the same distances from each other I see no reason why it wouldn't work :)

Welcome to the Forum mate......as Fozzie says, go and introduce yourself in the Newbies section when you get a chance...... 8-)

This is a very specialized question.....so I think a forum dedicated to these bikes may be the best place to ask......but you never know, someone on here may have the definitive answer for you....

welcome to the forum you can make anything fit into anything within reason but making it look nice and tidy and legal isnt always so easy,to check for your engine you will need to compare where the mounting points are ideally you want the engines side by side to check

Thanks for the replies, yeah i will pop in there shortly, I have put a post up on BCF as there are quite a few members on there that are good when it comes to the ns and nsr's however i'd had no response, I'll give my local honda a ring and see what they say thanks,
