I really wish I could support someone else, but you can't control where you're born and bred, your home town team lives inside you forever, even after 30+ years in the Manchester area putting up with all the s--t from the locals, including my other half and her kids. The days when supporters of "Ordinary" teams could hope that this could be the year for ultimate glory disappeared when the megabucks started flowing into the coffers of the lucky few.
