Suzuki GSX600F exhaust advice

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I require somebody with a bit of suzuki/exhaust knowledge. Recently purchased a 95'(old design teapot) gsx600f katana and it has the stock twin 2 into 1 exhaust system. I want to swap to a 4 into 1 exhaust system. I am stripping the fairing off the bike anyway, was wondering if any of the bandit 600 exhaust headers would fit when the bike is naked.

Cheers

arent they the same motor?

the problems you would have is if the engine is tilted more on one than the other and mounting points

I believe they are the same engine, I have been told different things by different people and do not really want to be cutting bits off the bike to make an exhaust fit.

Thanks for the recommendation. I have seen a few model specific for the bike but I dont really wanna pay 300 quid for a new system on an old hack. So was looking to save a bit of money by seeing if bandit headers fit. (They seem to be easy to find and cheap).

If you can find headers to fit without fouling engine and frame, I can re-engineer the collector and linkpipe.

If it helps I used 600 bandit headers on my gsx750, as stated they are all the same lump externally.

Thanks a lot, did you have to do anything to make them fit? How old is your bike and the bandit headers? I will get on and look for some bandit headers, I will keep you informed of how I get on

My bike is a 98 model, I didn't need to do a thing they fit straight on. The headers were for most years of the older style bandit.
