Hi folks Im sort of at a loose end and need some advice please.

I crashed my steed 9 days after getting it  which was around the end of November.

Since then Ive been waiting on various parts etc.

Well Ive got them now and have set about repairing it myself.

Ive replaced the damaged headlight and top fairing nosecone.

I had to replace the clutch cover as it was holed when it hit the floor and

this is where Im having some problems.

Ive connected the clutch cover which is a bit of a pig to do in itself.

Seeing as I needed to hold the clutch cover, line up the spindle with the

selector rod, whilst not creasing the gasket at the same time as lining up

the 2 marks on the actuator arm.

My problem is this........

I dont know exactly how to setup the clutch cable so that it engages and releases the actuator arm.

The clutch lever is either too slack or too tight and it seems that when I do

actually manage to locate a gear it wont release.

Thus meaning the bike wont move even when the clutch lever is depressed.

If anyone knows the R1 2007 slipper clutch setup it would be a great help

if you could guide me through the process so that I can get my machine on the tarmac again.

Ta in advance.

I cant find a Haynes for the year of bike.

Mind you if the cable setup is the same in the previous years then I would

appreciate a scan of the page or something.

With regards to the slack mate...... just when I seem to get the lever right the actuator arm is slack ferkin confusing
