Clutch adjuster not working

So I replaced the clutch lever on my GPZ500s this morning (it got broken a couple of weeks back when some idiots decided it'd be fun to push my bike over :crybaby: ) I thought I'd done it ok however I've obviously done something wrong because the lever adjuster now doesn't work properly. It won't click through smoothly from 1 to 5 - I normally have it set on 5. Am worried I've done something really stupid and the clutch isn't going to work properly.

Any ideas what it might be and what I need to do?!

PS Other than replacing the mirror which also got damaged and was just 2 bolts this is the first twiddling I've done to my bike so feel free to ridicule me if its something obvious!! I'd be v grateful if anyone has any ideas of what I might try no matter how obvious they seem to you!! Many thanks. :)

I've attached some pics of what I did if that helps!

Doh. Yup that works.

I hafta now push the lever forwards to use the adjuster. Before I changed the lever over it would click through without me wiggling anything!!!

See I knew it would be something totally obvious and stupid.

But yaay....at least its not something I've broken!!!

Thanks for the replies.

:)
