Broken speedo

Recommended Posts

I stupidly drove off with a D lock still attached to the front wheel. No damage was done to the front brake, but now the speedo has stopped working. No speed, no milage counter.

I drive a Derbi GPR 125. Any idea how it could have damaged the speedo or possible easy fixes? If not how much am I looking at to get it fixed?

Another thing I've noticed is only my front right light is on. I can switch it to the left side pressing a button so it isn't broken, but I cannot make it so both lights shine together. Why is this?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi mate......I'm guessing that you've either snapped the speedo drive cable or dislodged it from the drive ring on the front wheel......pull the cable off at both ends and make sure that when you twist one end the other end turns too.....

For your lights you'd need to add another relay to get both lights on at the same time.......
