ginge511
Hello Since i got my aprilia rs125 running again it failed an mot ,and i also noticed it keeps cutting out when I'm either downshifting through the gears to a stop or setting off from 1st gear.Could it be that the mixture screw needs adjusting on the carb?I haven't touched that but that is the only thing i can see it being as there's a powwer problem too where i can't get passed 40 mph full revs just won't go past it at all? Voodoo
How did you manage to get it running again Ginge and are you sure you didn't trap any fuel hoses when you put the tank back on?

Voodoo
Have you tried fitting a new spark plug?
ginge511
Have you tried fitting a new spark plug?Bought a new spark plug 3 days ago mate.I don't know if the bike is derestricted or restricted yet and I've heard for the restricted version you mean a brg8-9 max and for the deristricted version you need a brg10 plug?I have the brg10 plug so this might be the incorrect one that's causing the problems? Maybe but I wouldn't have thought so, if you've still got the old plug give it a try see if that makes any difference

Voodoo
Different plugs run at different temperatures but thats all I know, I did put a different plug in one of my older bikes though and that always ran fine but I don't know if the plug would have been running hotter or colder. Guest
The plug wont make any differenc eto the symptom, it sounds like you have an air pipe disconnected.
