Guest Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Hello one and all. Ive recently brought a Kawasaki GT 750 that has been stood for 4 years Ive spent loads on it . cleaned out carbs and new kits fitted New inlet rubbers diaphragms seem ok. Has new dyna coils leads and plugs. As I have a 550 also I have x changed the igniter regulator and that little black thing in the loom on a plug . It wont run right. It runs on choke but very lumpy . All pipes get hot but 2 and 3 have gone blue , Made me think electrical fault as 1and 4 , 2 and 3 on separate coils . But im not convinced the carbs are ok they were in a right state but cleaned up ok Not done a compression test yet but all cylinders got summit there. Anyone out there got any ideas. Quote
Mr Fro Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 GT750 - nice. To be honest there are so many things to try that you'd need to give a bit more info...Have you measured the primary and secondary resistance of the coils, checked the earths and wiring integrity? When you rebuilt the carbs did you use new jets, how did you clean them, did you rough set the butterflies? You also need to do that compression test and put your location in your profile!
