Hi,

I have started my DAS training and was wondering, how long do i need to keep my foot on the back brake at junctions/traffic lights etc.

If the lights change to green do I immediateley release the back brake then release the clutch or do i release both at the same time on a flat road/downhill obviously uphill I needto keep hold of the back brake. Im just wondering because my take offs are a bit slow.

Do i need to keep the back brake pressed so that veichles behind me kow ive stopped?

Regards,

Al

Hello! As I recall they teach you to keep it in gear, foot on rear brake and NOT touching the front brake.

You should keep it on for the duration of your stop and when safe to do so release the brake and move off. Slowish get aways are better than hooning it off or stalling.

After you've passed then you can start hooning it off the line
