Blip throttle = Rpm dies?

I'd start with resetting the TPS......you can do this using TuneECU or by starting the bike and without touching the throttle leave it to idle for 10-15 mins and see how that goes.....

TuneECU is worth getting for your bike......it's free and you only need to buy a OBD2 USB cable (£10 off eBay).....it'll let you monitor the sensors on the bike and see any error codes.....as well as loading ECU maps...... 8-)

I use TuneECU Im running my own custom map based off 10166, this issue has only just started happening but I haven't touched the map in months so I don't think it's something I've done

Hook up TuneECU and reset the TPS and see if that helps things.... 8-)

I'll give it a shot this morning

Triumph ... possible throttle body seals

Wife had similar on 675

Link doesn't seem to load when on my phone, I'll try my laptop later.. thanks [emoji1360]

What is your CO (idle trim) reading

Last time I remember checking it was set to 19.1 on TuneECU

Booked on at 4pm at a local garage to get a CO reading, gonna take my laptop down and see if we can get it setup right Apparently 1-1.5% is factory but 2-3% CO is actually better but from factory they need to abide by omission rules etc.

All sorted [emoji4] Whilst I was plugged in to the garages CO reader I upped my CO using TuneECU to read around 2.5-3% (the old bike has 40k miles so struggles to hold a constant reading).

All is well. Now pulls like a train and doesn't hesitate AT ALL at lights/when I stopped, which is such a relief as I hit loads of traffic lights on the way to Uni every morning.

Map needs de-tuned a little now that the CO has been increased, but that'll take a few minutes on the laptop when I'm back home and can be bothered [emoji39]

That to me suggests something is allowing a leakage of air in to the throttle bodies and you may have just adjusted the co to compensate

See TimR's reply

If it's been working fine then just started then something is amiss somewhere

I get what you're saying in that I may have just masked the issue, but since the CO was something like 0.5 and I've increased it to the recommended 2.5+ that can't be a bad thing?

Did you reset the TPS while you had it hooked up to TuneECU?

I did, plus a 10 minute idle but didn't solve anything. I done this at the garage whilst we waited for the bike to warm up prior to doing the CO but since it didn't help it, we went ahead and adjusted the CO to the recommended 2.5-3%

Well.....if it's sorted it's all academic anyway.... 8-)

I've been out on the bike ever since! I absolutely have the bug again now that the bikes singing. I even skipped the gym today (I have a competition in 3 weeks so I probably shouldn't have) as I was just enjoying myself WAY too much.

Its not a bad thing at the moment as it's now running right again

But if it starts with the issue again I would investigate further

I've been thinking about this ever since, and the only thing I could suggest is possibly due to the scorching hot weather we had up in the NE this summer.. the bike was coping fine but since it's now back down to under 15 degrees the bike started showing the stalling signs. So maybe it was actually the hot weather that was masking the issue, and the cold weather actually brought it to my attention, to which it's (for now) rectified.

... Maybe?
