hardleydavidson Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Hi,I have a Gilera Cougar tank and need to run a fuel line from it to an inline tap. I've managed to find a nut that will fit the fuel port on the tank but it's the wrong thread (bsp) anyone know what thread I should be looking for? Quote
iangaryprice Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Gilera being Italian, is likely to have metric threads.Fuel lines probably a fine pitch thread. Try to measure the outside diameter of the thread. Expect it to be 8, 10 , 12 or 14mm.Then try to measure the pitch. Measuring one pitch is difficult. If you can measure 10 threads its easier. i.e 10 threads = 12.5mm then the pitch is 1.25mm.If you cant see 5 threads then see if you can measure 5 and divide by 5.Common pitches are 1.00, 1,25, 1,50, 1,75.
