When riding over the numerious small bumps and pit holes on the road the Peugeot topbox fitted by the dealer to my new Tweet, seems to be continually bouncing on its rubber mounts making annoying clunking sounds. The Peugeot dealer said all top boxes fitted to my type of bike do noisily bounce around, nothing can be done about it.

Do all Peugeot top boxes really noisily clunk around and does anyone have a solution to the problem?

I would be tempted to look for the part thats doing the clunking.. must be some part impacting another (I would have thought) and then apply something to cushion this. A stick-on rubber or foam pad perhaps.

I have discovered the knocking is actually because the lid doesn't fit tightly enough. Easy to fix.
