Chrsmc Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 When riding over the numerious small bumps and pit holes on the road the Peugeot topbox fitted by the dealer to my new Tweet, seems to be continually bouncing on its rubber mounts making annoying clunking sounds. The Peugeot dealer said all top boxes fitted to my type of bike do noisily bounce around, nothing can be done about it. Do all Peugeot top boxes really noisily clunk around and does anyone have a solution to the problem? Quote
Guest Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I would be tempted to look for the part thats doing the clunking.. must be some part impacting another (I would have thought) and then apply something to cushion this. A stick-on rubber or foam pad perhaps. Quote
Chrsmc Posted September 30, 2016 Author Posted September 30, 2016 I have discovered the knocking is actually because the lid doesn't fit tightly enough. Easy to fix. Quote

eastanglianbiker Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 remove top box .....................less wind drag no clunking might even go 2mph faster Quote
