yamaha Yzf R125 Oil ? 10w40 or Yamlube 10w?

Hi,

i have been keeping an eye on oil level on my R125, seems to be pretty good, i bunged some cheap Tesco's 10w40 oil for time being BUT!? Yamalube ? is is any good and why ?

is it thicker then normal oil ?

is it worth spending few pounds more on a smaller bottle ?

if no to using Yamlube, What other 10w40 oil makes would you recommend ? (castrol etc?)

Read your manual and see what spec the bike requires

Buy oil that meets that spec

I ran my FZR1000 on 10w40 Halfords motorcycle oil for around 40000miles with no problems.

I am using Yamalube in the R1 cos I felt it deserved the extra cost,which isnt that much more than Halfords anyway.
