Bologna998 Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Hey everyone! Some time ago, I did a few days at Cartagena race track in Spain. I was lucky to have ex 500cc race-winner Simon Crafar as instructor. As it turned out, though, there was another star there: Ana Carrasco - ex Moto3 - was doing some pre-season testing on a Moto2 bike. At some point, Simon went after her. Luckily he had my camera mounted Here is the video:https://youtu.be/r8ocwPRVu-0If it gets boring, fast forward to 1:10 Quote
Guest Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Nice one!I went to Cartagena back in 2006 to see a mate racing.......good venue! Quote
Bologna998 Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 I agree! The track doesn't look like much from the outside - no big grandstands, a bit lost in the desert there in Southern Spain. But the layout is really awesome, you can get quite a nice flow going with all the corners and moderate ups and downs. The only issue for me was the last corner - too many bumps for my personal taste. Quote
rennie Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 when we went to torrevieja in the car we had a day out in Cartegna, nice place! Made a half hearted attempt to find the track on the way back and failed! Quote
Bologna998 Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 I can imagine! The first day I went there I actually missed the exit. Not that there would be lots of signs indicating it... Quote
Topper Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Wow!I would love to ride like that...... my chicken strips are still massive , however, I ride to my ability and that suits me I take my hat off to all the riders who can safely take it to the edge without falling off well done Quote
Bologna998 Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 True! But let's not forget: They basically do nothing else, it's their job. At least that's the excuse I keep telling myself Quote
