LondonRider
Hi all, need some advice. My honda cbf 125 rear brake squeaks when I use it. But 2 things I have noticed is:1. It only squeaks at low speed2. It squeaks REALLY loud the first 2-3 miles of my journey in the mornings when commuting to work, but after that, it pretty much stops (or rarely happens).Does anyone know what could be up with it/does anyone have an explanation? The bike is a 2014 bike.
Westbeef
Clean the rear drum, see if it stops
Invisible_Man
It'll be brake dust. My CG125 used to do it now and again. Like Westbeef said you'll have to take it apart and give it a good clean. Sent from my thl T7 using Tapatalk
LondonRider
Okay thanks. Looks like i'll be spending sunday taking it apart and putting it back together. Hope it isn't too complex!
fastbob
Okay thanks. Looks like i'll be spending sunday taking it apart and putting it back together. Hope it isn't too complex! Not complex but messy and hazardous. The best value brake cleaner can be found at Toolstation as well as gloves and face masks. They do a pack of Scotchpads as well that are really good for a job like this.
someone
I had this, and did that, and it was easy.Obviously I was in a constant panic that my wheel would fall off but it never did.Get a Haynes manual, always useful to have, but it will take you through all the steps. And once you know how to get the wheel on and off you pretty much know how to replace brake shows and change the sprockets too!
