Duffers in France 2017

This was our fist stop, Ypres (Ieper) The Old Tom Hotel

The journey from the tunnel to Ypres was pretty uneventful and in bright weather.

We parked six bikes in two car parking spaces at about 4.30 with free parking after 6.00 we took a chance and didn’t get a ticket.

He is Spanish and lives in London, what he is doing in our photo I have no clue, when I called the lads in for the photo he just rushed over to be part of the action.

All in all a very enjoyable trip and I think everyone is keen to go again next year.

The only bad day we had was Wednesday travelling from Etretat to Arras when it rained, hailed, sleeted and a quick flurry of snow. So contrary to common belief I changed the route on the fly to get us to our destination quicker so we could relax in the hotel bar.

The Etretat Falaises (Cliffs) in the background. Paul had a burning desire to get to the top of the cliffs, so we just let him do his own thing.

As you can see I like my foreign jaunts myself. We are off to Spain in September

Well, going on the ferry on the bike if you want to be precise

We rarely go anywhere without the bike. If on the odd occasion we have to take the car because of bad weather, my wife gets quite miffed that we cannot take the bike.
