xFireSoul Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Good evening, I've got a question to which finding the answer online seems nearly impossible, and that is why I decided to ask here. So I have B and A2 driving license, but it from a country in the EU, not British. I will be exchanging it for a British one ASAP. I will be having a bike that's 125cc (A1 cat). Do I have to pass a CBT before riding, even though I have A2? Furthermore, in my case, am I required to display the L plate?I really hope you can clear this out for me! Kindest regards,Ivan Quote
someone Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Your E.U. licence is recognized the same as a British one, so you can ride an A2 bike the same as a British licence holder. No need for a CBT, L-plates, nor even to exchange it for a British licence. Though if you are staying in the U.K. for a long period then it makes things easier to exchange it. Quote
Bender Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 As been said its all the same, its the reason our test system is so f**ked up bloody eu standardization Quote
