I jest I take the mickey whilst bowing at the alter who knows what the hell thar means and can make it happen :lol:

 

:lol: basically the spinning things at bottom with the swirly rods on I want to move to the top :thumb:

Yep, you can see in pic the lead screws (vertical threaded screws for up and down movement) sit a fair bit lower than the top of frame plus the guide nuts sit at top of carriage mounts so I lose the space at the top along with the height of the carriage flipping it around in theory should get back the space lost from height of carriage so it will be able to move entire length of lead screw (minus few mm for mounts).
