but my bike has a clock in the display, so the watch is pretty much redundant when I'm out on the bike anyway...... 8-)

I think most bikes have a clock on board these days!

I can't wear a watch when riding and I wouldn't to be honest

I have the time on the dash and on my sat nav but on other bikes I have owned I had nothing! if I was out for a ride time was usually irrelevant 8-)

They are bought because they are beautiful pieces of engineering excellence and a joy to own.

So are bikes and thats where I would rather spend my money

But very few bikes appreciate in value like a quality watch does.

This is true but a watch wouldn't bring me as much enjoyment as a bike

Its each to their own at the end of the day but its not for me..... Probably because I don't have that sort of money to splash out on a watch

I have both and get enjoyment from both. Oh and driving my classic Mercedes.

Time is necessarily linear and incremental for the watch-wearer, and as I refuse to be shackled to a linear existence I don't wear one.

Not according to the Doctor it isn’t. It’s wibbely wobbely timey wimey.

That's due to the doctor self medicating

I have a clock on the bike... but I have to choose between it or the engine temp and as my bike used to crap out when it got too hot I go for that

Also I'm one of those knobs who wear a watch with the face on the inside of your wrist

I tend to flail around a lot so always damaged the face if it was on the outside.
