Many years ago riding my GT250 back home to my parents house, I found the keys had all fell out of the ignition, inc their house key.

Retraced my route and found them laying in the middle of the road about 3 miles back,

Lost some sunglasses once from an unzipped pocket. And I often leave my backpack unzipped, or it works open - last just yesterday in fact. I'm amazed nothing has ever fallen out.

Lucky.

Once when I was skiing at around 9am I pulled off my helmet and unbeknown to me a £3,000 hearing aid with it. Didn’t realise it was gone until the first gin stop and by that time we were far away and with my ‘style’ of skiing on my face and arse it could have been anywhere in the miles covered.

At 4pm we skied back down and unusually landed up near the place we’d met in, we stood about discussing evening plans when I noticed a short distance away.... yep you guessed it. It had been trampled flush into the snow but after seven hours and god knows how many people skiing over the top of it, it still worked :D

An aside for any other deafy’s out there, for reasons yet to be explained some people’s hearing improves at altitude. I’m one of those. It’s really weird to suddenly be able to hear again.

Also for active folk (or those who enjoy a good night out) there are stickers for sticking them down behind your ear so they don’t come off while youre cartwheeling down the high street :D
