Mig wire size?

I inherited a MIG welder last year and though the gas bottle is still going strong the spool has now run out

Before I replace it I thought I'd ask here what would be a good size to use just for general tacking and quick dirty repairs as that's pretty much my capabilities

It had a .6 spool in before it ran out.

Shouldn't you be Tig welding, or are you going to change your name to Miggie? :D

Cheers people's. I pretty much knew it would be in that ballpark but it's not my forte so thought I'd double check

MarkW if my name was anything to do with my welding it would be Grindie

Richzx6r The welder is going nowhere as it was my late father-in-laws

Anyway I quite like putting holes in my slippers from the spatter

Fair enough mate, I'm not really in need of a welder but they are always handy to have and not need than need and not have
