best tyre for gsxr?

Recommended Posts

Best value ? - Metzeler Roadtec Z6

Best performance ? - Metzeler Roadtec 01 or Michelin Pilot Road 4.

All assuming you're riding on the road, including in the wet and want decent mileage. You could always fit something like Michelin Power Cup Evos if you want to look cool , don't go out in the wet and don't expect many miles from your tyres.

Just my opinion of course - there will be many others .....

I'd go road pilot 4 or 5, my last set of 4s I got just over 13.5k from the rear including 2 track days and they still had life left I only had to change them due to a rear puncture

Dunlop Roadsmart 3s are pretty epic IMO. Great for all year round use, will handle well when pushed (even in the wet) and give good mileage!

If you want something a little sportier then the Dunlop Sportsmart 3s are also really good and are currently on my 675R. I am still riding in these lovely conditions and providing you give them a little time to heat up before you push on and stay off the last inch in the wet then they are also a great contender. One track day and 1500+ miles in and they still look like new!
