Firstly there is no chance of prosecution unless you comitted this offence within the last 6 months, if so don't say when and you won't have any fear of being prosecuted.....Not that you would anyway by disclosing this infomation alone on here.

So the Q?

1. Have you ever ridden a bike or drove a car 'Other than in accordance with your licence'?

Or

2. Have you ever ridden a bike or drove a car with 'No insurance'?

Number 1 means you have drove or ridden a vehicle without that Cat on you licence. Ie a provisional catergory etc.

Number 2 means you have drove a car or ridden a bike in any public place without insurance for that vehicle.

I've listed it as a poll because I'm not particulary interested who has just how many (if any) have.

If you choose to say then fair play on you, I for one will not judge or advise you. Like I said I'm just interested in the numbers not names.

I will hold my hand up and say I rode my R6 forwards in my friends cul de sac where I kept the bike before I passed my test. It was about 20 meters in first gear and only did it the once.

My insurance had expired and I thought it was an automatic renewal, but it wasn't.

Answer's yes but purely unintentional - and on more than one occasion I have overrun my MOT dates

Always had insurance that covers me for other people's cars if I have their permission to drive it. Have not ridden anyone else's bike to worry about insurance for that.

Never driven anything out of the class for the license I have.

Why ?

I dont want details nor did I ask for them, I have even openly admitted to an offence myself to ease anyones fears.

All I've asked members to do is vote yes or no to the Q's without identifying themselves. Whats wrong with that?

Why ?

That's a very good question Drew...why indeed? I don't get why u'd want to know...I could understand if u said...Ok we're doing a bit of research at work and we were wondering how many of u..blah......

But it's such a random question...

Any enough from me.... I just don't get it that's all.

Here's a question Drew, I have a couple of friends who live on a private estate with private roads, but there is no physical barrier stopping members of the public driving onto the estate, but there is a small sign saying for residents only.

Now here comes my question,my friends have both rode their bikes on the estate before they go a license, without insurance(obviously with no license) and pillion passengers. They have also driven cars around the estate in the simular situation.

What would the legal implications of this be, they and their parents, as do many members of the estate think that it's totally legal and there's nothing wrong with it.

The thing that always got me, if it is legal, then what would happen if a child got knocked over or they hit someones car/property?

:? confused.
