Neither route direct but via Jacks Hill Cafe on the way down. 2 sausage, fried slice and beans, cup of tea (shark fin) ... sat in a cafe .... great !!! They also match in with the bike and will look good. Having a touring bike with panniers the amount of time they spend carrying things is very low most of the time they are helmet stores at the shops. I also carry quite a bit of gym gear around from time to time and shop from day to day. They are well away from any paint work too as they are on the pannier racks. Yes i could have got a bike probably more suited for the job but this one felt a good fit and was convenient to buy along with Andys Tracer from the same place. We got quite a bit knocked off for buying 2 bikes. Had a test ride round the country roads and remembered how well it used to handle on these uneven roads. note to self, "never take it off again". Cutting a long story short, I'm an eegit and removed the bolt to tune the carbs and forgot to put it back. Now it is running properly. From the outside you won't see much Inside, there is plenty space for the bolts and the cover have a good clearance I'm sure that with 2mm thickness it will take a lot to break it Stress test to around 85 kg and didn't bulge Then press it in the vice and same result.
