Not specifically to the bike but I have made some extension leads for the battery charger, meaning now I can charge the batteries anytime in any weather.

Before I could only do it in fine weather as  I had to run a mains extension outside for the charger, and as the charger only came with one set of flyleads to attach to the battery, it was a pain having to take off one of the batteries to charge.

So now I have a new sets of flyleads and extension leads using banana plugs and sockets.

I made a short pair of extension leads that can also be used as a pair of jump leads using some crocodile clips that accomodate the banana

plugs.

Original flylead.

New flyleads.

Original flylead modified with Banana plug sockets.

Short extension with crocodile clips.

Longer extension lead.

Connected together with a short socket extension going through the letter box for convenience.

All connected plugged in and working.

Me and my dad went for a ride to Alston to drop some paperwork off at a farm, the first time I’ve had a fully functioning bike other than commuting and what a difference it made!
plus the extra confidence of a few hundred miles under my belt now to take the bike up to 10-11k rpm and it’s a different machine!

then we swapped bikes for the way home and dads tiger 1050 is just so effortless to make move and now I need to change bikes haha!

That looks uber time consuming and frustrating.

Once you get it done you can take on some wrap work for others on here !

Took the Bobber out to Chester as I had to go to the bank. First day the road weren't covered in mud and water round here. Even so I had to pick a line through the debris at times. Remarkably it came home clean.

Also a chance to test my new Gerbing heated gloves as it was bright but chilly on the way out. I had to stop to adjust the clutch and brake levers as the gloves are thicker than my original winter gloves.

That's got to be down to the seller. The bits I bought from the US took five days.

The seller took 2 days to dispatch the parcel.

USPS is taking forever to take a package that will weight 150gr if that from Akron OH to Chicago airport, less than 400 miles, which in US terms is like going from Edinburgh to Glasgow.

They got the package on 26/1 and only today arrived at the freaking airport.

In the meanwhile. my baby is there waiting with parts all over 😠😠😠

I've just uncovered mine and got it out of the garage!

It's completely dead! No alarm no ignition no nothing!

I've put it on charge and it says it's charging so I'll give it a few hours

and see if there's any sign of life

Took it out of its cave & checked it over prior to MoT on Monday.

Went to take it for a spin round the block just to make sure all was ok ( an essential journey 😁) and the engine died as I backed off the drive, it appears as if the little fuel it had in it has made a bid for freedom in the last 3 months, got a gallon from the garage & topped it up & all was good.

Good job I didn’t wait until Monday.
