Ladies and gentlemen sad news but as I expected the Welsh National Motorcycle Rally at Builth Wells has been cancelled due to Police pressure.

God bless each and every one of the lice that infect their pubic hair.

Yup - that's three dead and buried (if you'll pardon the expression).

Steve, the guy who runs the Welsh shows has basically had his livelihood junked because of this.

I doubt if they can historically quote any serious incidences at either Builth or Angelsey - and the security team has considerable police experience.

Everyone should just turn up anyway as a protest

Well here it is from the welsh national showground site

Following representations made and information supplied by Dyfed-Powys Police regarding public safety and security in relation to the Motorcycle Show to be held on 23rd to the 26th May, it is with regret we announce that the event has had to be cancelled.

thats 4 rallies now that i know of:

Ink and Iron, Rock and Blues, Bulldog Bash, and now the Welsh National.

Willow and I are gutted we have been looking forward to this for ages :x

Incidenlty I know why the police are worried, but I am with para, the national has no affiliation to any backpatch clubs, in fact backpatch clubs are only allowed by special invite to the rally I have never seen any trouble at this rally. I can understand the bulldog being cancelled (HA organised) and also the Rock and Blues (outlaw organised) but why the independant rallies are being cancelled is a bit of knee jerk in my opinion.

Williow better be careful or she will become public enemy no1 if she organises the TMBF rally. :D

Because we dont want a bunch of bikers with a pudding straped to thier back terrorising the country.

I'm so pee'ed off....Builth has always been an independant rally and a family event attended by bikers and non-bikers. It's strictly a no-patch affair.

Seriously sad state of affairs really, as I was looking forward to the Rock&Blues.

It really does look like there's moves afoot to alienate bikers of all types on account of the alleged fued between HA and Outlaws. So when are they going to ban football matches just in case someone gets knifed, or outdoor music festivals for the same reason?

What a load of BLX.

On a positive note, does that mean that there might be some peeps free for the BSB instead?

I'm working at Donington with Junior Sheepy in tow on the Sunday (for RfH) and going to the race on the Monday.
