Pacemaker Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 Arghhhh!! I hate the blimmin' Cat n Fiddle. Does no-one ever go anywhere else...? I don't really know anywhere else round here with not being a local lad for long an all that Not really a major fan of the cat myself either but it seems to be a popular place for folks on here. queen bodecia Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Therein lies the problem. Every biker and his dog goes to the Cat. It's heavily policed and has an awful accident record (I lost a mate up there, hence why I avoid it)...Derbyshire has some excellent roads just waiting to be discovered. Do a bit of exploring instead... Quote
Guest Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Derbyshire has some excellent roads just waiting to be discovered. Do a bit of exploring instead... B5053 and B5054 from A523 Bottomhouse to A515 towards Matlock Bath - some loverly twisties along there Quote
Voodoo Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Hows about we meet at the Cat & Fiddle and go to Matlock Bath, along some of my favourite roads B5053 and B5054? Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 B5053 and B5054 from A523 Bottomhouse to A515 towards Matlock Bath - some loverly twisties along there a515 has to be one of the most boring roads ever.....although it does lead to some very very good roads....if anyone is about monday let me know, im always up for a ride out Quote
Guest Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 If you take that cut through you will be surprised at the sudden disappearance of the road, the bends the hills and the scenery. There are some beautiful villages on that route - and some testing roads too. Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 right....if you leave cat and fiddle pub and turn left, go to the end and turn left ride straight along untill you see a sign for cavendish golf course (small sign on right hand side of road), go up there and turn left at the top and you will be here.....so much fun max 10 mins from cat and fiddlehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB49a1Sw ... re=related Quote

Guest philgale Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 would of been but i couldnt think of chapel.....plus people now know how to get there Quote
Pacemaker Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 I do the longhill road all the time, mainly because I live about five minutes from it It puts a nice smile on my face to take on the big thou's and wipe the floor with them along there. It's a bit short though and just lately has been under the watchful eye's of mr plod and his roadside camera setup pretty much every day.Nice vid too. Quote
