rying Sygic right now. I like the way you can plan a route on a laptop and then send it to your phone.

Sygic is ok for that, had it for many years. For a very fine point-by-point I am super happy now with Locus maps - dead easy to plan 50-points route and play it both forwards and back.

Doubles up as bicycle satnav wired to my Garmin watch.

I’ve used a Beeline for about a month. It has worked great. … I think it’s a bit like having rally directions on your handlebar. Just tells you what sort of junction is coming up. Which turning from next roundabout to take. All the info you need actually. Voice directions not required in my opinion. .… I don’t like the Beeline mount though. Two rubber bands more suited to a bicycle. I can see this thing flying off at speed. I need to work out a better solution for that.

Tried the Beeline app on my mobile today. Mostly ok but not sure what it would be like in a busy city (maybe not too bad as speeds lower) and it did send me on a merry detour around a village green on my way home (seemingly because I'd manually rerouted the ride home so it would take me a different route and it got a bit confused in one village)

I'm withdrawing my +1 in favour of Calimoto. I just found that they don't know about the longest bridge in Ireland and its associated national route, more than a year after it opened. 😅

When I pointed this out, they came up with a bunch of hilarious excuses before effectively telling me to piss off.
