Engine diagnosis program

ok I am making a program, that can help diagnose engine problems and more specifically on bikes but could be used for others.

e.g. open program and it will say a few common problems e.g. "wont start, electric problem, gearbox problem, wheel and chain problems" etc etc

but first I need to make a huge table of all problems possible and their solutions. I have a few I have thought up like:

wont start so

check spark

check fuel etc

and then it gets more detailed in what to do.

Once I have made the program I will put it on tinternet free to anyone to download and use to help diagnose any problems. I will get it approved by a mechanic so that Im not giving out any bad advice etc etc and ill put it on here first so you can all have a go and tell me whats wrong Laughing

So, anyone got anything that has gone wrong that they would like to contribute? Please say if its 4 stroke/2 stroke, cylinder no.s etc

This sort of format would be great

"Problem = Clicking sound when trying to start

Solution = don't know"

or

"Problem = Clicking sound when trying to start

Solution = Battery dead/faulty solenoid etc"

There's usually a section in a haynes manual like that, might help you to get started.
