Inherited an old motorbike - is it worth anything?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Grateful for your advice!

I’ve recently bought a property and there was a bike left in the garden. I know it’s been left outside for at least 15 years. Would appreciate it if you could let me know if it has any value, or should I just get someone to take it away as part of rubbish removals :)B8372428-8C38-48AE-9BDE-A6E2FA5835CE.thumb.jpeg.68c8fd5ace1708eff4378258a7ebfbd6.jpeg

Don't just scrap it. Someone wanting a project will have a look at it. Much depends on what is there and what is missing, and if the engine is seized.

At the very least stick it on ebay with a low starting price and see what you get. If you can check if the engine turns that would be helpful. Plenty of photos should enable anyone interested to work out what is missing.

Whereabout are you? Someone might be willing to take a look at it for you.

It's very very far gone . It would cost far more to restore than anyone would ever get back for it . I like the challenge of restoring bikes that have seen better days but there is very little of use left there . Stick it on a Hipster / Cafe Racer FB page and ask a grand for it .

Thanks, I did wonder as I know it's been exposed to the elements for a number of years. Will see if I can find someone local to take a look.
