Right folks...........after discussions with willow and akey we are looking at doing a get together at derwent water........It's a beautiful place at the foot of the snake pass next to the ladybower reservoir.


The plan is to make it a picnic from around 12 ish......folks can either bring their own food or there is a cafe that sells all sorts from burgers to jacket potato's and ice creams to cakes, also all sorts of hot and cold drinks


There is also the option for those who wish.... to go on a blast up the snake pass and back...... roughly 25 mins each way


We'd like this to be a family event and hope that a few of the newer members can be enticed to attend


Can anyone interested please post a yes or no so we can see whether it's worth making it a definate

Sorry... got a bit excited for a minute to see something coming up in August (when touch wood, I'll have my licence), but I'm at a music festival that weekend :(


I guess I'll have to hope for a bit of a late summer that spills into September...

Put myself down as a yes, but not sure as a friend has invited me to a wedding either on that day or the Saturday.


EDIT: Found out I am free!! Will be there!! Looking forward to it.

think that's the paste from sheffield, I'm sure you can all suss it from there. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:


The right turn to take you to the picnic area is just at the sheffield start to the snake.....and don't worry when you seem to be going down it for miles.....................it's longer than you think. At the mini roundabout at the end turn right and your there, any problems someone'll meet an guide in.......


I might not be there for this one.....but enjoy :lol:
