White Chain Grease

So when I picked my bike up during the summer it had a white wax/grease on it. It lasted much better than the Silkoene and Motul's I've been using. I applied the Silkolene two weeks ago, riden twice and it was showing signs of lite surface rust which came off with a clean and no brushing.

So what grease are people using and how can I get this white grease look/application again?

I am wondering if the issue is that the rust is down to the time of year. Would the white wax/grease have stopped rust when riding in the winter? I use some WD40 stuff that left a white residue and come the winter, the chain rusted as it always does.

From memory the white stuff is dry chain lub.

This usually last far longer than normal liquid lub.

However, it requires extra care when applying in the likes of cleaning the chain when changing from cheaper chain lubricant.
