Albrynmair
I accidentally dropped my bike and it looks like the Pannier Rack has bent, any suggestions how i bend it back? I have a Triumph Tiger 800 and am unable to locate replacement pannier rack, it looks like the part is discontinued, so I think I need to try and bend the original bar back into place. Thanks
husoi
I would take it out. Use a small torch to heat it up and then gently bent it back to original shape. If you take the other side out it should be similar shape but mirrored.
MikeHorton
I'd maybe take it off along with the other side and compare all the angles and gently straighten maybe with the use of a mallet and wood heat up where needed
Albrynmair
Hi, Thanks for the suggestions, only problem I have is that the right hand rail goes around the exhaust, so it is a different shape.
KiwiBob
Be careful, it's quite flimsy as its made of thin tube steel not not solid bar. There's a Triumph Tiger group on facebook that may be able to offer some advice on repair/replacement.
