I have read somewhere that you should bring different visors around if its get sunny, or dark etc.

Is this is the case? And if so I know it sounds stupid but do you just bring some different ones with you? HOW DOES THIS WORK!??

In summer, a lot of people wear tinted, or irridium coated visors ...

Keeps the glare at bay, and can be fair bit safer (assuming we actually get some sunshine  )

You would need to carry a clear visor with you, if you had chosen to fit a darker visor to your lid because of 2 things ...

1: so you could see clearly if the weather changed, or if it transpired that you would be riding home at or after dusk.

2: Whilst there does seem to be some slackening off on the issue vis-a-vis the law enforcement angle - it is prudent to have a clear visor with you, in the event that you do get stopped by the Plod - technically the legality of the tinted visors being a bit 'dubious' .... ie if you had a clear visor with you, it would show that you had had the sense to ride prepared for changes to the amount of light blah blah blah :D

You carry the other one in a waist pouch - it's illegal and a tad silly to wear dark visors after it actually goes dark!

Why didn't I just say that instead

Too busy editing posts to elicit even more praise upon your unworthy self, perhaps?

So basically have a tinted one (or the one you first mentioned) and when it gets dark or changing of weather etc, take out the clear one you have?

or get a helmet with a flip-down tinted inner-visor.

Caberg do them in most of their helmets and they save you ever having to carry around a second visor.

Also means that if you're out and it suddenly gets brighter / darker, you can just reach up and flick the tinted bit down / up.. no need to stop and switch over :)

Also... damn good when riding in crapper conditions where it flicks from bright sun light to shitty rain and back again quickly... :)

I must admit to only ever really riding with the darkest tinted visor I can find, my eyes are crap in the daylight. Forgot to take my clear one with me to MFN, I thought I wouldnt need it anyway, but at 10:30 pm following MP through Nottingham with it getting darker and darker I did start to get a little nervous lol.
