MonkeyKnuckle
Nice one, I need to get one of those back protectors, how much was it? Where did you get it from?
Guest
Good to see mate. The paddock stand will make cleaning wheels easier and getting tyres changed cheaper too! I'm not sure about the Knox but the Forcefield L2 is around £75 You can get them online but its best to go into a shop and get fitted out properly. They will show you then how to adjust it correctly too! Most good bike shops sell them including Hein Gerrick etc
Korben
Got the back protector from a local bike shop mate. Cost £99.99. Following on from what Pete said I would make sure it's fitted correctly, and I would say both are as good as each other to be honest. Just make sure that if you get one you go with your jacket. Would be a real bitch if you buy one then realise you can't zip up your jacket with it on afterwards. Knox, Alpinestar, and Forcefield are all good. They are all CE approved, and some of them are CE Level 2 (Currently the highest level of approval).Used the paddock stand today. Makes checking the front tyre a whole lot easier!!! Monkey. Get a back protector mate, they are just as important as a helmet in my eyes. Break your back in the wrong place and it won't matter how protective your helmet is, your brain won't be able to send signals to your arms and legs to make them move!!God I am a right preachy bast*rd about this!! nman1
I`ve got exactly the same one steve, but like a complete twohat, I brought it after I brought my leathers, so just a tad restrictive. Lesson to all, if your going to buy new leathers, wear all your gear before you try on.
