Guest
Hi, I've got a pair of gloves with the annoying lining inside, everytime my hands sweat just a bit the lining gest stuck then comes out when I take my hand out, even if I take the gloves off carefully it comes out, then it is a nightmare to get back in then most the time when I get it in it they become uncomfortable, do you have any tips on how I can get the lining back in easily (I have been recomended to cut the lining out but I don't know wether I should do this or not either.) Thanks in advance.
Guest
am gathering these are winter gloves you have. Get yourself some summer gloves, shouldn't cost too much (under £30 for an adequate pair from the bargain bin in your local bike shop)Don't take the lining out as you will regret it when the weather gets colder or wetter. If you have the money you can spend well over £100 for a decent pair of summer gloves but as said a cheaper pair will do while you get started. An other method for removing your gloves may also help in the mean time...Don't know if you are already trying it but as you pull your hand out pinch each finger tip of the gloves and grab the lining to stop it pulling off as you pull your hand out. If you suffer with sweaty hands a lot then possibly buy some glove liners, but these will mean even more material between you and the bars so you will lose feel for what you are doing. Bill_on_a_bike
I have employed a wooden spoon handle to shove the lining back in to each finger. bloody irritating mind, especially at petrol stations and there's people waiting, and there's you flapping about with your stupid glove. You carry your wooden spoon everywhere?
Bill_on_a_bike
noooo just if i'm at home. If i'm out somewhere i prefer the hopping about whilst madly punching your fingers swearing loudly method.
Guest
Fair enough , I'll have to give the wooden spoon method a go because the key to my bike snapped today, the day I was going to get a spare one cut too, I'm hoping that I can have a new one cut from the remains, if not I'm gonna have to use the rest of my money to buy me some new bits, if possible new gloves it is =D. jabcrosshook
I'm wanting some new gloves actually because I have the same issues with mine and when it gets warm(like that happens) my hands get too hot.I want some thinner leather ones, may cost a pretty penny but hopefully they'll last for a while. allym316
if youre really pushed, you can wear those cheapy disposable plastic gloves like the ones at diesel pumps under your gloves, helps them slide on and off easier and great if they leak in the rain or your hands are sweaty? Latex ones dont work as they grip the inside of the glove even more than your hands. I spent a few wet days riding like that and it did work! TC
Stick the wooden spoon in each finger and sticth the end of the fingers to keep all layers togerther. The latex gloves are good short term but make your hands sweat
