Hi Mate

Welcome to the forum. Drop into Newbies and say hello.

Not sure about the topbox. Normally you need to purchase a bike specific bracket that will then allow you to fit pretty much any top box to it.

Nothing too bad to fit. It's normally a matter of removing the grab rail (If your bike has one), then fitting the bracket. The top box will normally just click on then.

Hope this helps. Best thing you can do is surf round the web looking for what you need. If you have money to spend I would recommend Givi. Good stuff!!

thanks lads.

so i need to get to a yamaha dealer and get the apprpriate bracket.

should be easy enough to find a topbox 2nd hand after that.

cant find them on the yamaha site either, maybe i'm not using the right terminology.

also looking for a user manual if anyone knows somewhere i can download it....apparently its difficult to find a site giving a free download

anyways

thanks for your help

also

just curious

whats the little hook thing with a key lock for

on the left side of the bike

that's a helmet lock, your ignition key should fit it. It opens the hook and you can lock your helmet buckle to it when you leave the bike. Whether you trust people not to kick your helmet or not is another story.
