waynejuve Posted Thursday at 04:12 Posted Thursday at 04:12 So just started having this issue on my 2024 790 duke, when coming to a stop or just slow riding in general, when at 9 mph the bike will just keep going on its own, if I apply the brakes I just get resistance as if I'm accelarating and will just keep going. Anyone know what's going on here Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted Thursday at 08:00 Posted Thursday at 08:00 Modern engine management systems will control the revs to prevent stalling. If yours has started to hold higher revs than it should there's something amiss with a sensor somewhere. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted Thursday at 08:24 Posted Thursday at 08:24 Almost like it’s still on a cold “choke” setting? Is it intermittently or all the time, only when cold or hot? What rev does it hold itself at? Is that constant or variable? Is it a sudden kick in or soft? If you turn it off and on again does it behave the same/different or normal. Quote

This happened constant while I was out for a ride, the bike was fully warm at the time, the revs are about 1500.There is no sudden kick or anything it's just there, as soon as the bike hit 9 mph it just sits there, even when applying the brakes the bike just wants to drive on. The bike behaves normal in every other way Quote
Simon Davey Posted Thursday at 21:24 Posted Thursday at 21:24 Hi @waynejuve, welcome to the forum. No idea, as I've never had a fuel injected bike, or a ride by wire. Just following along to be nosey. Although, my only only thought is, does it change if you change riding mode? Assuming it's not cruise control, as that would cancel when ignition is off. Quote
waynejuve Posted Thursday at 21:41 Author Posted Thursday at 21:41 Haven't tried different ridding modes, something to have a look at over weekend. No cruise control. 1 Quote
husoi Posted Friday at 17:25 Posted Friday at 17:25 Sounds like the air sensor is causing the problem. Can be from dirt to not plugged properly and becoming loose. Or faulty which I would be surprised with a new bike. What you explain as result of the issue sounds like the temp sensor is picking returning low temperature signal to the ECU. That's the sensor in air intake usually at air filter case Quote
Bianco2564 Posted Saturday at 09:12 Posted Saturday at 09:12 After searching google, others are saying about a throttle reset on your model and other KTMs With engine off and ignition on, open the throttle fully and close it slowly then switch ignition off. Others suggest start up and allow to idle for 15mins, don’t rev it up, switch off at kill switch then turn off key. Ive no experience with them but these procedures do make some sense. Have you spoken to a dealer, must still be under warranty? 2 Quote
Simon Davey Posted Saturday at 10:29 Posted Saturday at 10:29 @waynejuve Very interesting post above by @Bianco2564 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted Sunday at 01:29 Posted Sunday at 01:29 Yeah got to agree with bianco. So sounds like the throttle valves (the one the ecu controls) aint balanced/set to 0 angle correctly either by its sticking or out of sync, so if it can’t be done manually by the user you’ll have to take it to dealer or a garage with a ecu software reader.
