Guest
Just did about 160 mile roundtrip to NEC and back - coldish at 100MPH with 4deg C showing on the bike dash, but otherwise OK.Bike's in need of a service now but I haven't really got enough money for it. Revvin Kevin
I like riding this time of year as long as it's not icy Usually try not to ride when it's above 5 Deg as there's less chance of slippery surfaces especially after a frost. Can be fun as long as you realise you can't ride as hard as summertime and keep it smoothe. The roads are also quieter and there's less plod The salt isn't a problem as long as you prep your bike properly with ACF or FS365 and keep the chain lubed. Foz
ooh just rememberd! when i went to pick my bike up in sommerset we had to leave at 4 AM in the morning, the dash in the car said -2 degrees C and we counted about 8 bikers in the space of 2 hours all riding around in the early hours of the mornin, pitch black, ice, cold but you could see they were enjoying themselves

Guest
It's FREEZING. I take a deep breathe as I move onto the parkway, especially if I've forgotten my scarf, (winter cold wind/rain wipping your neck at 80 =| )Utterly hate it. Need to get some anti-fog aswell because my visor fogs up constantly meaning I have to uncomfortably ride with it up, and its not doing my eyes any good.Summer PLEASE. Bill_on_a_bike
god 100mph winds no wonder you were coldish weird freak weather we have in this country Errm Yes, that was it - really strong gusts of wind on the M6 I hear they're worste where there's no speed cameras I don't mind riding in the winter, apart from this latest carb freezing thing, which suddenly makes me think fuel injection might not actually be balck magic and worth having. If only I could afford it.Don't mind it being cold, get more layers on you sissys. I like riding in the bright sun you get this time of year, unless it's in my eyes. And if you've got the right gear on, riding in the rain's no so bad, you feel all cocooned
cruz
For carb icing I can recommend Silkolene FST.650 Draggie used to suffer form this, 10ml per tankful of fuel sorted it.
