Guest
Hi guysI have some HG touring textiles jacket and trousers that I wear for my daily commute. They're black but now filthy with salt (grey, shiny colour) and although I've tried to soak it up with water, when it dries the stuff returns... clearly the salt is still there.Whats the best way to get rid, barring a machine wash? Any tips appreciated R. Quote Link to comment https://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/topic/6197-how-to-clean/ Share on other sites

Guest
Yup, near the airport.I've found with repetitive cleaning it gets better, but it is still a dull grey.. and it sparkles in the light due to the salt crystals! Guest
I didn't think it could be machine washed, but having checked it again it says I can wash it at 30 degrees on a delicate cycle with no fabric conditioning or tumble drying/ironing.Ok thats easy enough... but my machine doesn't go down to 30 degrees!Do you think a delicate wash at 40 degrees would be ok?Oh and its this one with matching pants: http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/4598Cheers,Rick.PSI know where Quinton is, but never had any reason to go there yet!
