DutchMick
Its going ahead on March the 15th!!!!!In bleedin Qatar Not Assen, Brands, Mugello or one of the other perfect circuits in Europe where thousands of bike racing fans could watch it, but Losail. 200 spectators and a camel. They went for the oil dollars and not the spectacle. Big shame. But at least its going to happen

DutchMick
As I understand its Rossi on the R1 and Bayliss on the Ducati, Bayliss will hammer him, I'd bet the house on it.

Guest nastro azzurro
will depend on the bikes!if i have to i'll go for rossi Of course you have to...... Are these gonna be road going bikes??? SBK???? Or what then???? Read that Baylis said he wanted £1million for this!!!! Thinking the guys been what and who they are will put on one hell of a show with a mad couple of laps at the end going for the win..... Revvin Kevin
I'll go for Baylis to win, the R1 is brand new and undeveloped, they have a lot of work to do to get it upto speed and make the tyres last. Will be interesting to see how the R1 performs in pre season testing. If it's on the pace then Rossi might stand a chance.
DutchMick
Think about micks mrs and then a bet Firstly....OI!And B..... I think its the official racing bikes so I can't see the Yam coming close to that 1098.By far the best bike on the SBK circuit last season. But what a race it could be, shame its in the bloody desert!
Fazer Pete
Like Mick says, shame its in the desert. As much as i think Rossi is probably the best racer that ever lived, on superbikes and Bayliss on the Ducati, can only see Bayliss winning

Fazer Pete
Will have to wait and see Roy.But Bayliss has beaten Rossi in MotoGP, and on a superbike i still think that Bayliss will win it
Guest nastro azzurro
Will have to wait and see Roy.But Bayliss has beaten Rossi in MotoGP, Only the once though....... I would like to agree with Roy... Rossi would be the difference on the bike......(R1) But like ya say Pete..... We gotta wait and see..... We have no idea of how this wil be run as of yet....... It could just be a 2/3 lap dash???In which case it's anyones as thry are both world class blokes/Racers

Revvin Kevin
Anyone taking bets yet, wouldn't mind a punt in Bayliss
Evs7
The idea got canned. Yamaha said they would allow Rossi to race, don't think Dorna were too pleased and Bayliss obviously wanted a large some of money for putting his SBK reputation on the line. To be honest why should he bother. He finished in perfect style with a double win at Portimao end it there. why come back for one race and ruin a great ending.I agree with Bayliss if they want him to do it, then pay up. Not entirely sure why Rossi wants to do this unless it still smarts that a SBK rider beat all the MotoGP guys at Valencia in '06. Or maybe he is seriously considering switch with Spies.
