Guest
Ok, I've been riding for about 5 Months, so I'm kinda new to biking, however I've never really thought about maintaining my bike. That was until I looked at my chain this morning and noticed it was touching the swingarm because of how loose it was. Naturally, because I don't know alot about bikes I panicked. A Quick Look in the handbook meant I had it sorted out in a few mins. Panic Over.Anyway, after that I noticed how dirty the chain was, how dirty the forks were, the wheels, the exhaust etc etc you get the idea.I havn't got any other means of transport to and from work so I ride in all weather. How can I keep the bike running smoothly and looking ok through the winter months?Help is Muchly Appreciated! rennie
wash muck off at least once a week, rinse with cold water, protect with acf50 or something similar, while you're washing have a look at chain, tyres, brakes etc
Guest
a weekly wash and lube of the chain, is essential, before riding have a quick walkround and check tyres brakes and lights, again these can be checked when washing, but its best to find any "problems" before you head out...
