craig Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 while i,m fixing my indicators ,thought i might as well wire the number plate light up........got a red and black to the light on the bike i have a green with a silver band and a black with a brown line down it.....bikes a honda cbr 600rr,but guessing most hondas from around the same time might be the same cheers Quote
Guest Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Get out your haynes manual, you will have 3 wires to the tail light, and you must have 2 wires loose from the old number plate light, if not, then one will be earth and one for tail, and one for stop(brake)..you need to cut into the earth and the tail, otherwise your number plate light won't work properly..if you have a simple electric screwdriver (the type with a bulb in) then turn the lights on an coonect the croc clip to the black wire (most likely earth) and prod the other connections, if you find a positive the bulb will light, et voila... use the connections attached to the wires,... not teaching you to suck eggs, but some people forget the obvious...
